Blackcurrant Bushes, Red currants & White currants
All Our Blackcurrant, red currant and White currant bushes are supplied as 2 year old bushes and are lifted to order from October. We can supply as either 3 shoot or small graded bushes depending on your needs.
BLACKCURRANTS
We currently supply 3 different varieties of blackcurrant bushes, which can give a long picking season. All of our blackcurrants are grown and sold as 3 shoot 2 year old bushes. We are able to offer small graded out bushes for potting upon request.
BEN CONNAN
Ben Connan is a early season variety that will produce a high yield. The berries are easy to pick from the medium sized bushes. It has good resistance to Leaf Curling Midge, Mildew and Leaf Spot.
BEN LOMOND
Ben Lomond is a mid season variety. It is a heavy cropper, vigorous upright grower, with good flavour.
BEN SAREK
Ben Sarek is a mid season black currant variety producing a high yield of fruit with good flavour. The fruit is easy to pick off short strings without damaging them. It has good resistance to frost and Mildew. Ideal for P.Y.O. Ben Sarek has small compact bushes giving a high yield.
RED CURRANTS
We supply 3 different varieties of Red Currant bushes which are all grown on our site in Norfolk.
JONKHEER VAN TETS
Jonkheer Van Tets is a early season red currant variety that produces a heavy crop. The fruit is large, deep-red berry which has a lovely flavour. It is vigorous grower and has some resistance to Mildew.
ROVADA
Rovada is a late season red currant variety that produces a heavy yield of fruit. The berries are bright red colour and easy to pick of the long strings.
LAXTON’S NUMBER ONE
Laxton’s Number One is a mid season red currant that produces a generous crop of fruits. Due to being a mid season variety generally means it avoids frost damage. The fruit is small but flavoursome.
WHITE CURRANTS

White Versailles is a early season white currant that will produce heavy yield of attractive large and sweet tasting berries.
