Blackcurrant bushes are supplied as 2 year old bushes with a minimum of 3 shoots from early November. There are 5 varieties which can give a long picking season.
Ben Lomond is a mid season variety. Ben Lomond is a heavy cropper, vigorous upright grower, with good flavour.
Ben Sarek is ideal for P.Y.O. Ben Sarek has small compact bushes giving a high yield.
Ben Connan is a new variety. It is 7 days earlier than Lomond. Ben Connan is a large fruit, and easy to pick, it has medium size hushes.
Ben Tirran is new late ripening variety from SCRI. Its fruit is medium to small, but higher yields than Lomond. Ben Tirran is resistant to Mildew.
